Developed and maintained by Dr. Ted Supalla and his team at Georgetown University, this remarkable resource, comprising films and dictionary entries, provides access to invaluable historical materials on American Sign Language (ASL) and its predecessor, French Sign Language (LSF), dating back to the 19th and 20th centuries.
I had the privilege of contributing to this project as a lab manager in Dr. Supalla’s Sign Language Research Lab (SLRL) at Georgetown. Today, I continue to draw on this archive in my linguistic research, and I encourage you to explore and make use of these extraordinary resources as well!
A video corpora of 14 videos of 17 signers dating to the early 20th century
